Alexandre Luczy, le photographe qui surprend
Alexandre Luczy est né en 1939 en Slovaquie (ex-Tchécoslovaquie), au pied des Tatras (Carpates). A 15 ans, il commence l'alpinisme et s'initie à la photographie noir/blanc. En 1962, il obtient son diplôme d'ingénieur en génie civil puis en 1968 celui de guide de montagne. Après le "Printemps de Prague", en 1969, il quitte son pays, car la police politique communiste exige de lui: "La dénonciation de ses amis et partenaires de montagne". Il émigre et s'installe comme réfugié politique en Suisse, dont il devient plus tard citoyen, habitant Bienne. A partir des années 1970, Luczy ses deux passions, escalade et photographie, dans les Alpes et le Jura, devenant une personnalité aussi attachante qu'incontournable. En tant que photographe, il avoue un penchant pour l'absurde, composant ses photos d'éléments discordants sans apporter de justifications quant à l’assemblage proposé. Ses nombreuses publications lui valent de remporter des distinctions importantes. Ainsi ses œuvres paraîtront dans la «bible» de la photographie de montagne noir/blanc Montagne des photographes (édition Contrejour Paris, 1989) au côté des réalisations de célébrités comme Ansel Adams et Robert Doisneau. L'année suivante, il remporte le grand prix du concours mondial de la photographie de montagne à Antibes (France).

Alexander Luczy, der Fotograf welcher für Überraschungen sorgt
Alexander Luczy ist 1939 in der Slowakei (ex- Tschechoslowakei) am Fusse der Tatra (Karpaten) geboren. Mit 15 Jahren beginnt er mit Bergsteigen und der schwarz-weiss Fotografie. Im Jahr 1962 erwirbt er das Diplom als Bauingenieurs und im 1968 als Bergführers. Nach dem „Prager Frühling“ (1969) verlässt er seine Heimat. Die kommunistische Geheimpolizei verlangt von ihm die „Denunziation seiner Freunde und Bergsteiger-Kollegen“. Er fasst als politischer Flüchtling Fuss in der Schweiz. Später wird er Schweizer Bürger. Er wohnt in Biel-Bienne. Seit Anfang der siebzigerer Jahre geht er weiterhin seinen zwei Leidenschaften nach, dem Klettern und der Fotografie, sowohl in den Alpen, als auch im Jura. Er entwickelt sich zu einer unumgänglichen und überall gerne gesehenen Persönlichkeit. Als Fotograf gilt seine Zuneigung zum dem Absurden. Er kombiniert seine Fotos von nicht zusammenpassenden Elementen ohne dazu eine Erklärung abzugeben. Seine zahlreiche Publikationen sind mit bedeutenden Auszeichnungen belohnt worden. Seine Fotomontagen sind in der „Bibel“ der schwarz-weiss Bergfotografie Montagne de photographe (Verlag Contrejour Paris, 1989), sowie später in der deutschen Fassung Berge der Fotografen (Bentelli Verlag Bern) neben den Werken von prominenten seines Fachs, wie Ansel Adams et Robert Doisneau erschienen. Ein Jahr später gewinnt er den Grand Prix des « Concours mondial de la photographie de montagne » in Antibes (Frankreich).

Alexander Luczy sa narodil na Slovensku (ex Ceskoslovensko) na upäti Tatier (Karpaty). Ako 15 rocny zacina s horolezectvom a s cierno- bielou fotografiou. V roku 1962 obdrzal diplom stavebneho inziniera, v roku 1968 diplom horskeho vodcu. Po “Prazskej jari” (1969) opusta svoju vlast. Tajna policia Stb ziada jeho spolupracu, co znamena udavanie jeho priatelov a partnerov z hôr. Emigruje a usadi sa vo Svajciarsku, ktoreho sa neskôr stava aj obcanom. Byva v meste Biel-Bienne. Luczy holduje dvom vasnam, lezeniu a fotografii, v Alpach a v Jure. Stava sa tam osobnostou pritazlivou a neodmyslitelnou. Ako fotograf sa priznava k sklonu k absurdnosti, svoje fotky zostavuje z casti ktore si protirecia, ale tuto absurdnost nevysvetluje ani neobhajuje. Jeho pocetne publikacie mu priniesli vyznamne ocenenia. Jeho fotky boli medzi inym publikovane v “biblii” ciernobielej horskej fotografie “Montagne de photographe” (vydavatelstvo Contrejour v Parizi 1989) spolu zo slavnymi fotografmi ako Ansel Adams a Robert Doisneau…V nasledujucom roku obdrzal Grand prix na Svetovej sutazi horskej fotografie v Antibes (Francuzsko).

Alexander Luczy was born in 1939 in Slovakia (ex Czechoslovakia) at the foot of the Tatras (Carpates).At the age of 15, he starts mountaineering and becomes acquainted with black and white photography.In 1962 he qualifies as a civil engineer and in 1968 as a mountain guide.After the " Prague Spring" of 1969 ,he flees his country,refusing to: "denounce his friends and mountaineering colleagues" as demanded by the police authorities belonging to the communist political party.He emigrates to Switzerland as a political refugee and later, a citizen, living in Bienne.From 1970,Luczy fulfills his two passions,rock climbing and photography in the Alps and the Jura.His natural warmth and simplicity make him a personality not easy to forget.As a photographer he willingly admits his inclination for the absurd.He does not need to justify the composition of his works elaborated with discordant elements.It is the "hall-mark" of his style.His numerous publications have brought him many important distinctions.Consequently,his photographs have been published beside celebrities such as Ansel Adams and Robert Doisneau in, "the reference" of black and white photography,"Montagne de Photographe (edited by Contrejour Paris,1989).The following year,he was awarded the "Grand Prix" of mountain photography at the renowned worldwide competition at Antibes in France
